課程概述 |
This course introduces a broad set of fundamental topics regarding management
of constructor business. It not only helps student understand the uniqueness of
construction industry, but also, evaluate construction management’s
effectiveness, as well as apply modern management to planning and scheduling
for construction projects. Students will run one entire project from planning
through scheduling, and budgeting, both manually and on the computer. Computer
applications are an integral part of this course and the student will plan
his/her project on a hypothetical project. |
課程目標 |
1.To understand managerial aspects of the engineering and construction industry.
2.To introduce basic concepts of planning and control processes
3.To learn modern scheduling methods for project management
4.To obtain the knowledge of integrating time with cost.
5.To understand theories behind optimal resource allocation and leveling
6.To apply computer technologies in construction scheduling, resource leveling,
and budgeting.
7.To Get insight of Total Quality Management (TQM) basics and its
implementation.
8.To learn how to measure engineering and construction productivity.
9.To comprehend motivation and other human factors
10.To gain knowledge in communication, leadership and safety.

課程要求 |
No work will be accepted that is not turned in on engineering paper. List
TITLE, NAME, and Sheet of on each sheet. If more than one sheet, staple
in the upper left hand corner. Work must be neat. Students with questions
concerning course, grading, and test format policy should make an effort to
clarify them during the first two weeks; after that, questions should be
directed concerning the content of the lectures. Cheating and disrupting class
will not be tolerated. |
